 Sammy Gyamfi Speechless After NPP Communicator Told Him About His Future In NDC

On Good Morning Ghana today, Thursday, September 8, 2022, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, and Richard Ahiagbah, the new Director of Communications of the ruling New Patriotic Party, clashed. Much of the discussion focused on the state of the economy and what it will take to get the economy back on track with the help of the International Monetary Fund.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, the government has thus far demonstrated incompetence in handling the affairs of the country. He mentioned that it was a lie for anyone to say the state of the economy now is as a result of external facts. According to Sammy, the government has failed to see reason and listen to the NDC and this has brought the country where it is now.

Richard Ahiagbah however disagreed with Sammy Gyamfi. External factors, he claimed, had drained and nearly destroyed the economy. He questioned why the NDC continues to exploit the situation in order to demoralize Ghanaians. Mr. Ahiagbah claims that the NDC offers no solutions while constantly criticizing the government. Richard warned Sammy to be cautious because the NDC is only setting him up for failure.

Sammy Gyamfi listened quietly and then asked Richard to read more because everything on the grounds shows that the government misappropriated funds and destroyed the economy. It is worth noting that the Akufo- Addo administration has never accepted responsibility for the state of the economy. They have instead blamed some policies of the previous John Mahama administration, as well as external factors such as Covid- 19 and the Ukraine- Russia war.
